We're John and Tiffany Matthews. We lead The Gate Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.
We're pastors, but more than that, we're people who've walked through the fire and learned what it means to be anchored.
We know what it's like to love God deeply but feel distant from Him. To be surrounded by Christian community but feel completely alone. To want to live with passion but end up running on fumes. To carry shame, performance pressure, and the crushing weight of trying to be "good enough."
We also know what it's like on the other side.
Today, our lives are marked by sustained intimacy with God, emotional health we never thought was possible, and a spiritual passion that doesn't burn us out. Our marriage is thriving. Our three kids aren't getting leftovers. We're not pretending to have it all together, but we're anchored in a way that creates peace, clarity, and sustainable fire.
